What is an electronic UAE visa?

An electronic visa to the UAE (or UAE eVisa in short) was introduced by the government in 2019 to make the visa application process more convenient, as no visit to the UAE embassy or consulate is required.

It comes in two types: a single-entry visa and a multiple-entry visa. Depending on the type, the stay in the country is up to 30 or 90 days within the validity period of 2 months. Both visas can be extended twice for 30 days, and you don’t need to leave the UAE (remember that extension can’t be obtained by residents from GCC countries, special entry, and 96-hour special mission visa holders).

According to the UAE authorities, it is very easy to apply for a digital visa, as it can be done online via the website. Just fill out the form with accurate information, cover the fee, and wait for the confirmation. After the process, you will receive your eVisa via email in PDF form.
