Uganda eVisa – Basic information

The electronic visa for the Republic of Uganda is an official visa introduced in 2016 by the Uganda government to speed up the application and entry process to the country.

The system allows many foreign nationals to apply for a visa without visiting the embassy or consulate. Thanks to it, you can save your time and nerves.

Also, with Uganda eVisa, you can stay in the country for up to 30 days or 90 days and choose between a single-entry, a multiple-entry, or a transit online visa. Note that a transit eVisa permits you to stay in Uganda for 7 days.

If you want to get Uganda eVisa (which can be used only for tourism), you must participate in the online application process. It is essential to provide accurate information in the form and eliminate all mistakes or typos to avoid rejection or delays.

Who needs a Uganda eVisa?

Uganda eVisa types

You can choose between 3 available types of visas to Uganda.

Single-entry visa

This visa type allows you to stay in Uganda for 30 days. As it is a single-entry visa, you can enter the country only once with it. After that, if you want to visit Uganda again, you need to obtain a new visa.

East Africa Online Visa

East Africa visa is a multiple-entry electronic visa. Thanks to it, you can visit Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya for up to 90 days. This tourist visa allows you to visit the country numerous times during the passport validity period.

Transit eVisa

In case of transit, you need to have a special visa that will allow you to stay 7 days in Uganda. Important! Before the trip, check all the requirements to avoid inconveniences.

Uganda eVisa application form

It is very simple to apply online for a Uganda tourist visa. Applicant needs to go on our website, find the panel on the left and pick the eVisa type perfect for them. Then the application process can be started. So what do you need to do?

• Fill in the required information in the online application form. You need to put in your name, surname, date of birth, passport number, etc. Check details twice to eliminate mistakes and, as a result, delays.
• After that, you are required to pay the visa fee (99 Euro for Transit and Single visit type or 149 Euro for East Africa Online Visa) via electronic payment methods. Choose PayPal, Credit/Debit card, PayU, or another online option.
• Wait for the process finalization. Receive your Uganda eVisa via email in digital format. Print the document as it may be checked by authorities at the airport.

Uganda Online Visa Validity

The validity period depends on the visa type. A single-entry and multiple-entries Uganda visas are valid for 90 days from the date you enter the Republic of Uganda.

A transit visa is effective for 7 days and can be used only for transit purposes.

Remember that every applicant should have the required documents in each case, including a valid passport (minimum 6 months). Also, you can extend your Uganda eVisa validity for up to 180 days.

Transit information

In case you want to exit the transit zone at the airport, it is required to obtain a transit visa that allows you to be in Uganda for 7 days.

Note that you need to apply online before you arrive in Uganda and have all the required documents (like a valid passport).

The Uganda eVisa is necessary if you want to visit Uganda for tourism purposes. What is more, put in mind the following points:

• There are 3 Uganda eVisa types: single-entry, multiple-entry (both valid for 90 days), and Transit visa (valid for 7 days).
