Tajikistan e-Visa – basic information

The electronic visa system was introduced in Tajikistan by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2016. A Tajikistan e-Visa became a great opportunity for eligible foreign citizens to obtain a visa to Tajikistan without going to a consulate or embassy in person and wasting much time.

The Tajikistan electronic visa enables its holders to travel to the country for tourist, business, and transit purposes for up to 60 days. The e-Visa to Tajikistan stays effective for 3 months from its approval.

On arrival, you must have a paper copy of the Tajikistan e-Visa and a passport not expiring within at least 6 months from entry.

Tajikistan e-Visa types

There are two types of Tajikistan e-Visa according to the allowed number of entries:

• a single-entry Tajikistan visa – allows a traveler to enter Tajikistan once
• a multiple-entry Tajikistan visa – enables its holder to enter the country an unlimited number of times

e-Visa Tajikistan validity

The Tajikistan visa remains valid for 3 months (90 days) from its issue. The date will be indicated on the PDF document of your approved visa. It’s the time when you can legally enter Tajikistan.

The permitted stay is 60 days from arrival in the country, whether your purpose is tourism, business, or transit.

Ensure your passport doesn’t expire within at least 6 months from entering the country.

Tajikistan e-Visa requirements

In order to successfully submit a Tajikistan visa application, you need to have the following:

• a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months from arrival
• an invitation from a Tajikistan company (if you are applying for a business visa)
• a device connected to the internet
• a valid email account
• online payment means

Transit information

The necessity to obtain a Tajikistan visa for transit is determined by whether you are going to leave the airport transit zone or not.

If you travel to Tajikistan only to get to another country and stay in the transit zone for the whole visit, you don’t need to obtain a Tajikistan visa.

However, if you want to leave the transit zone, you are required to have an electronic visa to Tajikistan.
