Vietnam visa policy

The Vietnam visa policy is a set of restrictions that define who can visit Vietnam, highlight visa types available for foreign citizens, and describe Vietnam entry requirements. Choose between an online visa or a regular visa while traveling to Vietnam and enjoy your journey.

Although most travelers should apply for a visa, nationals of 25 counties may visit Vietnam visa-free. For their journey, they should have a valid passport and a national ID card. Additional documents (including a visa) are not required.

The Vietnam e-Visa is a single-entry electronic visa that allows traveling for purposes of tourism and transit. Available for citizens of 80 countries, it facilitates trips abroad. Complete an online application form and pay the processing fee. An e-Visa is valid for 30 days.

If you are not eligible for an online visa, visit the nearest Vietnamese Embassy and request a regular visa. You need to schedule an appointment at the office and submit your application in person. A regular visa to Vietnam may be issued both for short-term and long-term travel.

Moreover, as long as you only plan on visiting Phú Quốc, you can do it without a visa. However, your stay on the island cannot last longer than 30 days.

It is essential to ensure you meet the entry requirements to Vietnam, so collect the required documentation prior to the journey (valid passport, Tourist Visa). If you comply with the rules of Vietnam visa policy, your travel will be unproblematic.
