eVisa Pakistan – basic information

A Pakistan eVisa is an electronic visa for tourist and business trips. It was launched by the Pakistani government to make traveling more accessible.

Eligible citizens do not have to attend an embassy, as the Pakistan visa application process takes place entirely online.

A tourist type is a single-entry visa to Pakistan for a 30-day stay, options with a validity period for 30 or 90 days are available. A business visa to Pakistan is a multiple-entry one that does not expire within 5 years and can be used for numerous one-month visits.

Note that for an online visa to Pakistan, your passport must stay effective for at least 6 months from the intended date of arrival to Pakistan.

Who needs an eVisa Pakistan

eVisa Pakistan types

Tourist visa

A Pakistan tourist visa is intended for those traveling to Pakistan for sightseeing, exploring the country, vacationing, and visiting friends and relatives.

This Pakistan visa type is a single-entry one with two validity options – for one month (30 days) and three months (90 days).

A stay in Pakistan with this type cannot exceed 30 days.

Business visa

A business visa for Pakistan serves business matters, such as attending conferences, meetings, workshops, cooperation, etc.

Unlike a tourist visa, a business type is for numerous entries. It has a validity period of five years. During this time, you can have an unlimited number of 30-day visits.

Pakistan visa application is extremely easy to complete, as the whole process goes online:

• Fill in the Pakistan visa application form. Provide personal information, travel information, and contact details.
• Upload the documents: passport’s biodata page, a photograph of your face, and additionally, for a business visa – proof of registration of the company (SECP/ Chamber of Commerce Certificate), an invitation from the business partner in Pakistan (E-BIL), and proof of legal residence.
• Use your PayPal, PayU account, or a credit or debit card to cover the visa fee.
• Wait for the Pakistani eVisa to be approved.

The processing may last for up to 14 days, so apply at least 2 weeks in advance of your journey to Pakistan.

eVisa Pakistan validity

The validity period of a Pakistan online visa depends on its type. A tourist visa for Pakistan can have validity for 30 days or 90 days – you can choose what fits you best.

A business Pakistan visa stays effective for a long time – 5 years. You can travel to Pakistan as many times as you want and stay for up to 30 days each time.

Make certain that during the whole duration of your trip to Pakistan, your passport remains valid. An electronic visa becomes ineffective in case of any changes to your passport, as they are digitally connected.
