Morocco e-Visa general information

Morocco e-Visa is a single-entry online visa allowing eligible nationals to travel to Morocco for tourism and leisure purposes.

The e-Visa to Morocco was implemented in July 2022 by the Morocco government to simplify short-term trips for certain foreign citizens.

In order to apply for a Morocco visa online, a visitor should complete a straightforward electronic form, attach supporting documents, and pay the fees. The application process takes a few minutes, and an approved Morocco electronic visa will be delivered to the applicant’s inbox within several days.

Morocco online visa allows to enter Morocco one time and stay there for a maximum of 30 days. The validity period is 6 months (180 days) from the visa issue.

While in Morocco, it is possible to extend the Morocco e-Visa for additional 6 months or change it to a multiple-entry visa by contacting the nearest Morocco diplomatic mission.

Make sure to submit the electronic application form for a Morocco visa at least a few business days in advance to get approval on time.

Who needs an e-Visa to Morocco

Travelers from most countries in the North and South Americas, Europe, and the Gulf countries do not need a visa. However, there is still a long list of countries whose nationals must get a Morocco visa to enter the Kingdom of Morocco.

Citizens of around 50 countries can enjoy facilitation and apply for an e-Visa to Morocco online without the need to attend a Morocco embassy or consulate in person.

In order to apply for a Morocco online visa, most nationalities on the list must satisfy one of the following conditions:

• They have resided in the USA, Canada, the EU, the UK, Switzerland, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia for a minimum of 180 days
• They are residents in the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand with a Schengen visa valid for a minimum of 90 days
• Important: Citizens of Azerbaijan, India, Israel, Jordan, Guatemala, and Thailand do not need an additional visa.

Types of Morocco e-Visa

There are two types of Morocco e-Visa according to the purpose of travel:

• Tourist Morocco visa – can be used for sightseeing, leisure, recreation, and visiting family members and friends
• Business Morocco visa – can be used for professional and business matters

Both types of electronic visa to Morocco are single-entry and allow a 30-day stay during the 6-month validity period.

Morocco e-Visa application instruction

The application process for a Morocco electronic visa is intuitive and speedy. Eligible travelers must prepare proper documentation and a device with internet access and start the procedure by clicking the ‘Apply Online’ button:

• Complete the online form. Provide the requested information and check the details for mistakes.
• Upload the supporting documents. The digital copies must be of decent quality.
• Cover the fees and wait for confirmation. The Morocco e-Visa cost is 129 Euro. Pay using any available online option and receive a confirmation code via email.

Note: The confirmation code you get after payment is unique, and you can use it to track the progress of your Morocco online visa application.

The final approval will also arrive via email, so check your email address regularly and print out the PDF document of your approved e-Visa to Morocco.

Morocco e-Visa validity

The Morocco online visa remains effective for 6 months (180 days) from the date of approval. During this period, Morocco visa holders can enter the country one time.

Upon arrival in Morocco, a traveler can extend their Morocco e-Visa for another 6 months. It is also possible to change a single-entry visa to a multiple-entry one.

Transit information

A transit visa is required for non-visa-exempt travelers who are transiting through Morocco to their next destination.

A transit visa to Morocco may be issued for one or numerous entries, allowing its holders to stay in Morocco for up to 3 days (72 hours) maximally.

Requirements for Morocco e-Visa online application

Required documents

According to the electronic Morocco visa requirements, an applicant needs to provide the following documents:

• an ordinary passport that remains effective for at least 3 months*
• an applicant’s face photo
• a return/onward ticket
• proof of funds sufficient for the entire visit to Morocco
• a visa (if applicable)

*Note that only ordinary passports are eligible for an online visa application to Morocco. If you are a holder of a diplomatic, service, special passport, or travel document for refugees, or any other travel document, you need to obtain a regular visa at a Morocco diplomatic mission.
