Morocco e-Visa general information

Morocco e-Visa is a single-entry online visa allowing eligible nationals to travel to Morocco for tourism and leisure purposes.

The e-Visa to Morocco was implemented in July 2022 by the Morocco government to simplify short-term trips for certain foreign citizens.

In order to apply for a Morocco online visa, most nationalities on the list must satisfy one of the following conditions:

  • They have resided in the USA, Canada, the EU, the UK, Switzerland, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia for a minimum of 180 days
  • They are residents in the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand with a Schengen visa valid for a minimum of 90 days
  • Important: Citizens of Azerbaijan, India, Israel, Jordan, Guatemala, and Thailand do not need an additional visa.

Types of Morocco e-Visa

There are two types of Morocco e-Visa according to the purpose of travel:

  • Tourist Morocco visa – can be used for sightseeing, leisure, recreation, and visiting family members and friends
  • Business Morocco visa – can be used for professional and business matters

Both types of electronic visa to Morocco are single-entry and allow a 30-day stay during the 6-month validity period.

Morocco e-Visa validity

Transit information

A transit visa is required for non-visa-exempt travelers who are transiting through Morocco to their next destination.

A transit visa to Morocco may be issued for one or numerous entries, allowing its holders to stay in Morocco for up to 3 days (72 hours) maximally.
