Kyrgyzstan eVisa – Basic information

Kyrgyzstan eVisa is an online visa that was introduced by the Kyrgyzstan authorities in 2017. The electronic visa system was supposed to facilitate the entire procedure of getting a visa for Kyrgyzstan for short-term stays of tourism and transit-related character.

Kyrgyzstan visa can now be obtained online with a few simple clicks. An applicant needs to fill out the online form, cover the fee and receive the approved visa directly to their email inbox.

There are two Kyrgyzstan tourist visa types – one can choose either a single-entry visa or a multiple-entry tourist visa. The latter also enables visiting the Kyrgyzstani mountains. Additionally, those who will be only transiting through Kyrgyzstan can obtain a 5-day transit visa.

Kyrgyzstan eVisa types

Kyrgyzstan offers three different types of online visas, which differ in terms of the validity period, permitted duration of stay as well as the travel purpose covered. The available visas include:

• Tourist eVisa: a single-entry tourist visa enabling a 60-day stay in Kyrgyzstan; covers all tourism-related activities;
• Mountain Tourist eVisa: a multiple-entry visa; an ideal option for those who wish to climb the mountains of Kyrgyzstan; each stay in the country can last up to 90 days (3 months);
• Transit eVisa: a 5-day stay visa covering the purpose of transiting through Kyrgyzstan before reaching the final destination.

eVisa Kyrgyzstan validity

eVisa for Kyrgyzstan may remain valid for various periods of time depending on the selected visa type, i.e., 5, 60, or 90 days.

Should you want to extend your Kyrgyzstan eVisa, you can do it with the help of the appropriate immigration authority institution in Kyrgyzstan.

Important! Make sure that your passport will not expire for at least 6 months beyond the date you plan to enter Kyrgyzstan.

Following, there are all documents required for the Kyrgyzstan visa application:

Notes:

• Applications for a transit eVisa also require providing a letter describing the reason for your transit stop and information regarding your final destination country.
• Mountain tourist eVisa application also requires attaching a travel plan or confirmation provided by the travel agency.
• You can take your face photo using your PC or phone camera.

Transit information

Even though you only plan to transit through Kyrgyzstan and will not be leaving the transit zone at the airport, you still do need to apply for an eVisa.
